Today i’m gonna talk about year 5 & 6 Waikowai primary school camp! have fun reading this blog!

I was in my car with my dad, saying my goodbye to him. He drove the car away and I was at the school canopy getting ready for the bus. I put my suitcase and my sleeping bag case into the bus. I went onto the bus and we were going to Waipu. we did all the things and were at our cabin. Two days after we were on day three, which was particulary my favorite day. So i’m gonna tell you about that day!

At first we were in the van going to the Manea experience tour. We first played a game and after that game we went onto the tour and saw all the maori gods. My favorite god was the god of war. I forgot his name. After we went through all the gods we went to the marae and a person did a speech. After the speech we sang Ka Mate. Lastly of the Manea experience we saw movie, the person said it would be scary but I thought it was cool because of the effects, acting and the back ground.

After that we went sandboarding. I was the 3rd group and when I went up I was scared at first, but when I saw other people do it i wasn’t anymore and I built up the courage to do it, when I did it… IT WAS SO FUN!!! I wanted to do it again so I went back up but when I tried to go back up I realized it was so hard. But when I went back down I skidded so far on the ocean.

Man. I will never forget camp. Especially that day.

Kia Ora super bloggers! Today i’m gonna talk about the 2023 Term 2 week 9 Dunger Novel Study!

In the senior syndicate in Waikowhai, we got different Novels to study on! For example I got the novel named Dunger. Dunger is a NZ english Novel written by Joy Cowley and is about 3 children visiting their grandparents at their bach. They are named Melissa, Lissy and William (Nickname is Will). The story was about them going to Queenstown but it got cancelled and everyone was sad but if they went to their grandparent’s house for 10 days they would get $1000 if they did chores everyday. Everything was going wrong and they had to fix a lot of things like the chimney fire, the water and the fountains at the top of the mountains near their grandparent’s real house. They got enough to go to queenstown at the end.

Kia Ora fellow bloggers! Today i’m going to talk about the term 2 2023 basketball zones!!!

Basketball zones was very fun. Our school Waikowhai split into three teams, I was in team Whero(the best team ever!), the team with green bibs. We had a 15 minute drive, 15 minute games and sometimes we had 15 minute rests. I was in a car with Jas, Stellan and Beckett. Beckett was most voted for team captain and took all of the pushes and hits for us. There were seven games in total. We got three rests and five minutes to practice before a game.

Now onto what you’ve been waiting for… THE GAMES!!!

On the first game my team was really nervous, on the practice time we were practicing our shooting. Tbh I think I was pretty good at it because I only missed one. We were playing against May road, they were really good, so we tried our best but we didn’t win. But that’s okay because we did have fun! The second and third were basically the same. But on the fourth Cris scored a hoop! Assisted by Beckett and Harlem. On the fifth I blocked 4 shots but they still scored three hoops. On the fifth match it was a training match. sixth and seventh were the same as the third and fourth but way more intense because they were so fast and good at passing. We kept saying to eachother “NEVER GIVE UP! KEEP GOING!!”

I felt like it was really fun and we took a photo of all three teams in Waikowhai.

hello wonderful bloggers! Today im going to tell you about the summer learning journey’s pixil art activity!

Heres a picture of my pixil art progress.

First decided to make the hair. I liked the color blue so I made the blue but It looked weird so I put grenn at the bottom since it was second most favorite color. Then I put the black outline last. I drew the face with a black outline then added the things on a face like a mouth, teeth, tongue, freckles, a nose and MLG GLASSES! After that I put the tears, ears, the plaster and the neck so it would look better. After that I drew the little fedora at the top and the sun and clouds. I decided to add a heart since it would fit best for the picture. I also added the background as green and I added theshadow which is dark blue. The reason I added those things since I wanted to make a picture where two bullys punch the person down and he starts crying and the heart pops out since he is heartbroken beacuse the bullys punches were as strong as Dwayne The Rock Johnsons punches. Well thats the explanation.

Hello wonderful bloggers today i’m gonna talk about the 2022 waikohwai school highlights!

What event do I remember the most? I remember making my paper mache balloon for the art festival more than anything.Why do I remember it so much? Because it was for art festival and we did it for one whole term! Term 2- term 3.

What event did I enjoy the most? Making the letters for our word run: Kia Kaha be strong Kia Maia have courage!What did I enjoy about the event? Making the patterns and coloring the patterns in with crayon. When I was coloring the letters, for the wide patterns I made the crayon sideways and I started to color it in like that. I made the R for courage.

What subject(s) did I make improvments in? Math and writing because in both of them I realized that working fast isn’t the way to get better. Going slow and finding all of the methods makes more pizzaz in writing and maths. When there is pizzaz everything get more intresting.What subject did I enjoy the most? Reading, because this term we did a novel study and the last few terms we focused on disasters and gathered information and used the information we got to create a project a buddy(s) or by ourselves.

What friendships have I made? Friendships with handball.

 

It’s been a great year but i’m kind of sad because my teacher mr Hing-Windsor is leaving and going to india for 7 years.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
